Grown Up & Me

90 minutes of art-making for toddlers and their favorite grown-up. Mornings, Monday through Friday.

Make something together

Grown Up & Me is a 90-minute art class for toddlers and their caregivers — made to be experienced side by side. You paint together, squish clay together, print and collage and make a mess together.

Our teaching artists lead sessions designed for tiny hands and short attention spans, with plenty of room to linger on what your child loves most. There's no right or wrong — just exploration.

Classes run year-round, Monday through Friday mornings. Drop in anytime or book regularly with a pack or membership.

A typical morning

Each session has its own theme and material — one day it's watercolor resist, the next it's texture printing with foam. The teaching artist introduces the project and then moves around helping families explore at their own pace.

You take home whatever you make. For toddlers, that tiny canvas or crumpled collage is a very big deal.

What you'll explore

Painting

Finger painting, watercolor, foam rollers — all the ways small hands love to put color on paper.

Sensory Play

Kinetic sand, cloud dough, shaving cream, slime — messy, tactile, and completely irresistible to toddlers.

Collage & Tearing

Ripping paper and sticking things down is genuinely one of the best art activities for this age.

Printmaking

Stamping with sponges, vegetables, and found objects makes every child feel like a printmaker.

Clay & Dough

Air-dry clay and homemade doughs for poking, rolling, and sculpting tiny masterpieces.

Drawing Together

Side-by-side mark-making — your line and theirs, on the same page.

I come for my son but honestly I love the class just as much as he does. It's become our thing on Tuesday mornings.

My daughter was two when we started and she'd drag me through the door. Now at four she still asks to go every single week.

Questions

Does a grown-up really need to stay?

Yes — this class is designed as a shared experience. A parent, grandparent, or caregiver participates alongside your child for the full 90 minutes. It's part of what makes it special.

What age is right for Grown Up & Me?

Classes are designed for children ages 1–4 (12–48 months). Younger toddlers focus on sensory exploration; older toddlers do more structured art-making. Both are welcome in the same session.

What do we actually do?

Each session has a theme — a material, a color, or an idea. You'll explore it together through painting, printing, collage, clay, sensory play, or whatever the teaching artist has planned. No experience needed.

What should we wear?

Art clothes or anything you don't mind getting messy. We provide smocks for the little ones but things can still get colorful.

Can I bring a sibling who's older?

Grown Up & Me is designed for toddlers and their caregivers. Older siblings (5+) are welcome in After School or Art Studio classes running at the same time.
